Student makes merry with fake credit cards

BANGALORE: A management student and his four accomplices who allegedly made purchases worth Rs. 1.5 crore using around 100 credit cards they had fraudulently obtained from several banks are now cooling their heels in the Commercial Street police station lockup here.
The police seized 90 credit cards from them, all issued during the past year. According to the police, the kingpin of the racket is Morris D’Souza (28) of Hebbal, who claimed to be an MBA student.
After submitting fake and forged documents, the accused obtained credit cards in different names mainly from ICICI Bank, HSBC Bank, ING Vysya Bank and SBI.
