BPCL wins PSCB tournament

MANGALORE: Bharath Petroleum Corporation Limited has won the Petroleum Sports Control Board volleyball tournament, which concluded at the MRPL school ground, Kuthethur near here on Saturday.

BPCL defeated defending champions Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited 18-25, 25-22, 25-17, and 25-20 in their final round robin league match to lift the trophy. In the other league fixture, OIL India defeated host MRPL 25-8, 25-8, 25-10. In an earlier league fixture, BPCL had beaten OIL 25-11, 25-10, 25-12. L. K. Gupta, Director (Finance), MRPL distributed prizes to the winners.
