India regains golf title

GURGAON: India defeated Pakistan 27-13 to regain the Indo-Pak dil se golf title at the DLF Golf and Country Club late on Saturday.

In the singles match-play played under lights, India won eight out of 12 matches to edge Pakistan out in the Ryder Cup format.

H.S. Bedi’s 40 stableford points and Parminder Singh and Tarun Mehrotra’s 37 points each stood in India’s favour.

Sharan Lakshmanan, Timmy Sarna, Javed Baig were the others in the Indian team.
