Bopanna and Haggard in final

NEW DELHI: Rohan Bopanna partnering Chris Haggard of South Africa made the doubles final of the $125,000 ATP Challenger tennis tournament at Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine.

The second-seeded Bopanna and Haggard outplayed James Auckland and Ross Hutchins of Britain 6-1, 6-2 in the semifinals.

The Indo-South African combination had beaten local lads Sergei Bubka and Sergiy Stakhovsky 5-7, 6-3, 10-6 in the quarterfinals.

In singles, Bopanna lost to the fourth-seeded Benjamin Becker 6-4, 6-2 in the first round.
