BPCL won 4-2 against Indian Oil Namdhari shares honours with Airlines NEW DELHI: Gurpreet Singh was in irresistible form as he slotted home four goals to pilot Bharat Petroleum to a 4-2 victory over Indian Oil in the super-league of the 44th Nehru hockey tournament at the Shivaji Stadium here on Tuesday. Gurpreet opened the account with a penalty stroke in the 16th minute and converted three penalty corners to power Bharat Petroleum to a smooth finish. Viren Rasquniha and Didar Singh scored for Indian Oil. PSB beats PNBIn another match, Punjab and Sind Bank beat Punjab National Bank XI 4-1 after trailing by a goal at half-time. Kulwinder Singh, Sarvanjit Singh, Mandeep Singh and Vikramjit Singh found the target for the winner. Jatinder Saroha had put PNB in the lead with a penalty corner conversion in the 34th minute. Indian Airlines was well served by Sandeep Singh, but the team was held to a 2-2 draw by Namdhari XI. Sandeep converted two penalty corners to put Airlines ahead twice. However, Harpal Singh and Gurbhaj Singh found the equaliser in that order for Namdhari. — Special Correspondent
