Gowrishankar XI enters semifinals

HYDERABAD: Gowrishankar XI recorded a solitary goal win over Gymkhana XI to enter the semifinals of the Susai memorial football tournament, organised by the Shastri Soccer Club, at the Trimulgherry grounds here on Saturday.

The match-winner came in the 15th minute when striker Johnson latched on to a pass from Jude to find the target.

Teja posts win

B. Krishna Teja outwitted N. Sai Krishna in the third round of the juniors’ category in the 20th Brilliant Trophy Open State chess championship here.
