Viva holds Mahindra
MUMBAI: Viva Kerala picked up a valuable away point following a goalless draw against a sluggish Mahindra United.
The goalpost came in the way of three attempts in the ONGC I-League football tie at the Cooperage here on Saturday.
Bagan posts win
At Kolkata, Baichung Bhutia struck once in each half to fetch Mohun Bagan its fist win in the ONGC I-League football championship.
A partisan weekend crowd of around 10,000 watched the home team summon a dominant performance to down Air-India 2-0 in a fourth-round match here at the Salt Lake Stadium.
The win finally stemmed a run of disasters for Mohun Bagan, which had lost its first two matches against JCT Mills and Viva Kerala before drawing with Sporting Clube de Goa.
