Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD: The Punjagutta police on Saturday arrested two more persons in connection with the attack on writer Taslima Nasreen at Press Club, Somajiguda, premises a few months ago.
Already, seven persons, including three MLAs of the Majlis-e-Itteahadul Muslimeen, were arrested in the case. The arrested activists of the MIM -- Shamiullah and Shaik Ismail -- were remanded to judicial custody.
A group of 20 MIM activists, led by their MLAs, allegedly barged into the Press Club on August 9 last and attacked the noted Bangladeshi novelist during a book release function. She was in the city to release the Telugu translation of her book ‘Shodh’.
