Group ‘B’: Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (Bubaneshwar) 86 for nine in 20 overs (Fahat three for 22, Vinod Kumar two for 14) lost to Calicut 87 for four in 12 overs (Prasoon two for 29, Manoj two for seven). Kho-kho tournamentThe Manonmaniam Sundarar University will organise the South West zone inter-university women’s kho-kho tournament from January 8 to 14 and the all-India inter-zone tournament from January 15 to 18 at the VOC Stadium in Palayamkottai. Seventy-two teams, including the defending champion, University of Calicut, last year’s runner-up, Pune University and the semifinalists, Mumbai and Mysore are participating in the tournament, which will be conducted on knockout-cum-league basis. For the knockout phase, Calicut, Pune, Mumbai and Mysore have been seeded direct into the quarterfinals.
