Arun nets winner for Triveni FC

BANGALORE: Arun netted the match-winner for Triveni Football Club against Mohammedan Sporting in the ‘C’ division football league championship at the Austin Town grounds on Thursday.

Arun scored in the fourth minute but following that early success, both Triveni and Mohd. Sporting frittered away quite a few scoring opportunities.

Good knock by Vikas

Vikas’s 73 propelled St. Joseph’s Indian High School (SJIHS) past the Frank Anthony Public School (FAPS) total in a Boost Cup u-17 tournament quarterfinal here on Thursday. Chasing FAPS’ 201, SJIHS was 209 for six in 41 overs. Abhijit made 127 for FAPS.

The scores (quarterfinals):

FAPS 201 in 54 overs (Abhijit 127, Vikas four for 53) vs SJIHS 209 for six in 41 overs (Vikas 73).

Presidency School (Nandini Layout) 276 for six in 55 overs and 109 for three in 16 overs vs Parachute Regiment School 102 in 27 overs (Bhim 43, Nithish four for 26).
