CHENNAI: R. Harikrishnan of Tiruvallur with 9.5 points and S.S. Hashini of Tiruchi with 9 points won the Tamil Nadu State under-7 boys’ and girls’ chess championship titles respectively. The championship was organised by the T. Nagar Chess Academy. The winner and runner-up in the boys’ and girls’ sections will represent the State in the forthcoming National championship. The placings: Boys: 1. R. Harikrishnan; 2. V.S. Rathen Vel; 3.N. Pawan Kumar; 4.Kasthoori Mahalingam; 5.Sathvik Sudarsan; 6.M. Aravind; 7. S. Akash; 8.Dileep Kumar; 9. N. Dravid; 10. Kris Watson. Girls: 1. S.S. Hashini; 2. K. Krithigga; 3.R. Vaiali; 4 R. Harshita; 5 B. Brindhaa; 6. B. Govarthani; 7. H.D. Janani ; 8. B. Kiruthika; 9. V. Keerthi; 10. Arthika.
