Bomb hoax on train
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE: The New Delhi-bound Rajdhani Express train was delayed for more than two hours when it was stopped at Yelahanka Railway Station after a caller informed the police of a bomb being placed in the train.
Later, a thorough search of the train revealed that the call was a hoax.
According to the Railway Police, an unidentified person called the railway police control room from a public coin booth informing about the bomb being planted on the train.
The call came from a booth in Coles Park after the train had left the City Railway Station.
Immediately, the authorities stopped the train at Yelahanka Railway Station and the bomb disposal squad was pressed into service.
