Calf elephant found dead

CUTTACK: A calf elephant was found dead at Banra village of Gahalbanka panchayat in the district on Wednesday. The cause of the death has not yet been ascertained, according to forest officials.

“As there were injury marks on the body, it was not a natural death,” said DFO (wild life) A. K. Patnaik.

Probe is on into the death of the calf elephant.
