House burgled in Korattur

CHENNAI: Police are looking out for miscreants who escaped with 15 sovereigns of jewellery and Rs.3,000 in cash from a residence at Korattur. It is said when Suja of Sivakami Nagar, a teacher in a nearby school, returned home on Saturday to find the rear door broke open. Valuables kept in the almirah were missing.

The Korattur police have registered a house break-in case.

Children traced

Four missing children, including a boy, were traced in Tiruchi and Ranipet on Sunday. Police said that two days ago, the children, about 13 years old, were reported missing from two different houses in Tiruvottiyur.

The boy and his sister were traced in Tiruchi and two other girls in Ranipet. Special teams have gone to bring the children back home.
