HYDERABAD: Taking a serious view of the lacklustre performance of some of the Youth Congress leaders, The Indian Youth Congress secretary Shakir Sanadi has placed five district Youth Congress presidents under suspension. In a move to revamp the AP Youth Congress and the district units, the IYC secretary on Friday attended a review meeting to study the performance of the State and the district unit office-bearers. The IYC leader appreciated the efforts of the State unit in enrolling 7 lakh members across the State. Mr. Sanadi, who is in charge of the State, suspended G. Srinivasa Rao (Nizamabad), A. Sridhar (Visakhapatnam rural), Sama Krishna Reddy (Ranga Reddy), Kalimela Raghu (Rajahmundry) and Manohar Naidu (Guntur city). Show causes were served on presidents of Nellore city, Srikakulam, Kadapa, Medak, Guntur rural, Khammam and Chittoor.They were penalised for not taking keen interest in the prestigious membership drive that was undertaken during the last four months. Addressing a press conference here, Mr. Shakir Sanadi said the APYC executive body would be revamped completely. All the district presidents, who completed four-year term, would be replaced. There was no move to replace the APYC president T. J. R. Sudhakar Babu.
