Kalam opens eye surgery equipment

HYDERABAD: Former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam inaugurated new equipment for conducting cataract and Lasik surgeries at Maxivison Eye Laser Centre here on Friday.

The Micro Incision Cataract Surgery equipment allows quicker surgery, minimum incision (1.8 mm) and faster recovery for patients. The other apparatus enables blade-free Lasik surgery and reduces the scope for complications.
