Traffic curbs for Republic Day parade

HYDERABAD: Traffic movement will be restricted from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday on some routes in connection with the Republic Day celebrations to be held at Secunderabad Parade Grounds on Saturday.

The entry on S.P. Road between Central Telegraph crossroads and YMCA crossroads will be ‘One Way’, according to a press release. The road from cantonment garden to SBH crossroads will be closed for all vehicular traffic. Cars having passes will be allowed from CTO junction towards YMCA before the parade commences and in the reverse direction towards CTO junction after the parade is over.

All invitees with VIP, AA, A1 and A2, B1 and B2 car passes coming from Begumpet side will proceed via Rasoolpura junction, flyover, CTO and those (with similar car passes) coming from Upper Tank Bund and Ranigunj side will proceed via M.G. Road/Park Lane. Invitees having car passes A3 to A7 coming from M.G. Road, Begumpet and Secunderabad Cantonment side would proceed to the Gymkhana Grounds and alight there.

Invitees having car passes B3, B4 and B5 would come via S.D. Road, proceed straight up to SBH junction and turn right and enter the office of the Chief Engineer Ordinance Factory to park the vehicles. Cars without passes would come via S.D. Road, proceed to Patny, take right turn at SBH junction and proceed up to YMCA junction and park the vehicles on the road in front of the Judicial Academy in a single row.

Parking

Following parking arrangements are being made for the At Home being organised by the Governor at Raj Bhavan on Saturday evening: Cars with ‘Green and Yellow’ passes will be allowed through gate No. 1 up to the alighting point in front of Darbar Hall and shall be parked in the administrative block.

Security arrangements

As per security arrangements, public are advised not to carry any baggage while entering Parade Grounds.
