HYDERABAD: Thirty-nine policemen from the State were among the 674 personnel being awarded police medals on the eve of Republic Day this year. Details are as follows: President’s Police Medal for Gallantry: Constable M.V. Nageshwara Rao (posthumously) - and Inspector T. Ramakrishna.

Police Medal for Gallantry: Additional SP A.V. Ranganath, Inspector V. Narayana Rao, RSIs - K. Appala Naidu, B. Srinivasulu, R. Rambabu, A.V. Ranga and Y. Sanjeeva Rao, B. Adinarayana and P.V. Trinath, Sis - G. Narender and T.V. Satyanarayana.

Junior commando – M. Ramesh, senior commando - D. Surendra Babu, HCs - P. Kataiah, G. Kemdas, K. Appala Swamy, Ch. Subba Rao, Ch. Ramudu, K. Sanjeev Kumar and T. Raja Sambaiah, PCs - K. Rama Rao, M. Surender Reddy and A. Venkateswarlu. President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service: IGP (Recruitment) - D. Boobathi Babu, Addl. SPs - B.R. Dumas (Intelligence) and T. Narsing Rao (SIB) and K. Mahipal Reddy (DSP, RC Puram). Mr. Sudeep Lakhtakia, IG, SPG (from AP cadre). P.V. Krishna Reddy, presently IGP, Tripura.
