Easy for SGGSC
NEW DELHI: Sri Guru Gobind Singh College (Chandigarh) defeated Faculty of Social Science (Kashi Vidyapeeth) Varanasi 4-2 in the 15th SAIL-Nehru Champion Colleges hockey tournament at the Shivaji Stadium here on Saturday.
The scorers for the winning team were Bodhraj (2), Ameet Bhargav and Harsh Choudhary while Dinesh Verma and Sanjay Prajapati found the target for the loser.
In another match, DAV College (Jalandhar) defeated Sri Bhagwan Singh College (Bangalore) 4-0. The goals came through Jujhar Singh (2), Ajay Kumar and Lakhwinder Singh.
In the third match, Lyallpur Khalsa College (Jalandhar) overcame Sri Maghbaran Singh Mahavidyalaya (Gazipur) 3-2. Bikramjeet Singh (2) and Sukhmander Singh scored for the winner while Amar Nath Ram reduced the margin.
