Salgaocar beats Viva Kerala

Margao: A 65th minute goal by striker Beevan D’Mello guided Salgaocar Sports Club to a 1-0 win over Viva Kerala for its first win in the ONGC I-League football here on Saturday.

D’Mello, playing his first match, was declared Man of the Match.

He combined well with Shylo Malswantlunga to score the all important goal.

The defeat put Viva Kerala in the relegation as it remained on 12 points from I6 matches, just two points above the bottom-placed Salgaocar, which has 10 points. — PTI
