Bangarappa to back Kurubas’ demand

BANGALORE: The former Chief Minister has reportedly assured to support the inclusion of Kurubas in the Scheduled Tribe category.

According to a press release here on Sunday from the honorary president of the taluk Sudharana Samithi of Jewargi in Gulbarga district Bhimarao Sahu Honnala, Mr. Bangarappa made this assurance to a delegation of the samiti that met him in the city.

The release said that Mr. Bangarappa had also said he would support the Koli community to get the Scheduled Tribe tag along with the Kurubas.
