Gold, cash taken away

BANGALORE: The house of a Victoria Hospital clerk in Manjoor village coming under Varthur Police Station limits was looted on Saturday.

The police said that three persons broke open the main door of Muniyappa’s home and gained entry.

They reportedly threatened Muniyappa and his family members with lethal weapons and asked them to hand over valuables.

They ransacked the house and took away 500 gram of gold, 150 gram of silver and Rs. 23,000 in cash. A case has been registered.

Looted

In another incident, the house of a MICO employee in Chikkabidarkal, coming under Nelamangala Police Station limits, was looted by a gang.

The police said that the incident came to light when Jagadish, house owner, went back home on Sunday to find that his house had been broken into.

They said that gang had taken away 106 gram of gold and Rs. 10,000 in cash. A case has been registered.
