Police foil attempt to abduct school student
Srinagar: The police foiled an attempt by three youths to kidnap a minor girl from Hyderpora area here, a spokesman said here on Thursday.
A class VIII student, Sehrana, who was returning home, was pulled into an auto rickshaw by two persons at the Hyderpora crossing.
A police flying squad intercepted the auto when they saw the girl who shouted for help, said Inspector-General of Police Kashmir, Shiv Murari Sahai. One of the accused Shakeel Ahmad Khan was arrested on the spot while the other escaped. The second accused, Fayaz Ahmad Bhat was caught later. — PTI
