Three of family killed in road accident
Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI: A Delhi Police inspector was killed along with his son and daughter, while his wife sustained serious injuries in a road accident at Jhajjar in Haryana over the weekend. Ishwar Singh, (59), Inspector at the Chanakyapuri police station, his wife Prem Lata (55), son Sandeep Singh (20) and daughter Urvasi (16) were returning from a wedding party of their close relative at Jhajjar around 11-30 p.m. when their Alto car collided with a private bus coming from the opposite direction.
A relative of the family was following them on a motorcycle and informed the police about the accident. Soon the local police reached the spot and the four were taken to a nearby hospital where Mr. Singh and Sandeep were declared brought dead.
Urvasi and Prem Lata were still alive and referred to the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences at Rohtak. Later Urvasi also succumbed to her injuries. Prem Lata has now been admitted to Sushruta Trauma Centre near Maharana Partap Inter-State Bus Terminus in the Capital. Her condition is said to be critical.
