Advocates urged to ‘protect’ Circuit Benches

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: The Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court, Cyriac Joseph, on Thursday said he had done his job in ensuring that the Circuit Benches of the High Court would start functioning in Dharwad and Gulbarga and it is now up to the advocates to protect and nurture the Benches.

The Chief Justice was speaking at a function organised by members of the Dharwad Bar Association to felicitate him for having taken a decision to commence the sittings of the Benches from July 7.

Advocates happy

Several advocates from Dharwad and other parts of north Karnataka hailed the Chief Justice and the Karnataka High Court for having responded positively to the aspirations of the people of north Karnataka by introducing the Circuit Benches.
