Head constable attempts suicide
NEW DELHI: A Delhi Police head constable jumped off the Dwarka police station building on Wednesday in an apparent suicide bid. The police, however, claimed that it was a case of accidental fall.
Forty-five-year-old Harkesh jumped from the third floor of the police station building in the morning.
He was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Hospital where his condition was described as serious. Denying foul play, Station House Officer (Dwarka) T.R. Mongia said: “He fell down accidentally. The matter is being investigated.”
Sources, however, said Harkesh was upset after his leave application was rejected. He had plans to go to Rajasthan along with his family.
