Sahu, Arvind claim gold

VISAKHAPATNAM: Sushant Sahu of Dhenkanal and Arvind Kumar of Kashipur won gold medals in the sub-junior boys’ 56kg and 50kg categories respectively in the all-India inter-SAI STC weightlifting meet on Wednesday.

The results: Sub-junior boys: 50kg: 1. Arvind Kumar (Kashipur, 65+80=145kg); 2. M.S. Karthik (Trichur), 3. Lika Taming (Guwahati). 56kg: 1. Sushant Sahu (Dhenkanal, 80+105=185), 2. Manjit Kumar Baigheran (Dhenkanal), 3. A. Subramanyan (Mayiladuthurai).

Junior boys: 56kg: 1. Prince (Sonepat, 95+115=210), 2. Jitender Kumar (Sonepat), 3. T. Deepak Singh (Imphal).

Seniors: 56kg: 1. S. Dileep (Mayiladuthurai, 85+110=195), 2. L. Reagan Singh (Imphal), 3. J. Manivannan (Puducherry).
