Ticket-less bus passengers fined

BANGALORE: The 111 special line checking squads of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation in its drive against ticket-less travellers conducted a check in 2,970 buses on May 5. The squad detected 291 cases and found out 498 ticket-less travellers. The squad collected a penalty of Rs. 36,910 from the travellers and saved Rs. 4,964 as pilferage amount to the corporation, said a KSRTC press release.
