Co-ordination meetings start in Tiruvarur district

To motivate school students to score higher marks
|
GOOD EFFORT: A.S.Radhakrishnan, Chief Education Officer, Tiruvarur district addressing parent-teacher-students meeting at a school in Tiruvarur district.
TIRUVARUR: With a view to motivate students to get more marks and schools to get higher pass percentage in tenth and plus two examinations, Chief Education Officer of Tiruvarur district A.S.Radhakrishnan has introduced monthly parent-teacher-student co-ordination meetings in all the high and higher secondary schools in Tiruvarur district.
Accordingly, meetings were held on June 27 in all the schools in the district.
Supervision
Parents were asked to supervise their children whether they were going in uniform to school, to visit schools to sign progress cards and meet head masters to discuss about the progress of their children in studies.
They were asked to provide healthy food in house to their children and monitor them both in the morning and evening whether the children are studying their lessons.
“We are aiming to achieve 95 per cent of result in the district in both tenth and plus two and to get some state ranks,” Mr. Radhakrishnan said.
