TENDER FOR LEASING OUT PREMISES FOR SETTING UP A DUTY-FREE SHOP WITHIN THE ERNAKULAM WHARF AT 05 TRANSIT SHED


1. The Traffic Manager, Cochin Port Trust, Willingdom Island, Cochin - 682 009 invites sealed tenders in two cover system for leasing out premises for setting up a Customs duty-free shop admeasuring 250 sq. mts. including a building of 73 sq. mts. in the Southern side of Q5 Transit Shed at Ernakulam Wharf from interested parties who are having experience at least 3 years in operating duty-free shop either at a seaport or airport individually or along with its consortium. The lease for a period of 3 (three) years subject to renewal after expiry of lease period and will be governed by the terms and conditions of the land lease of Cochin Port Trust. The minimum lease rent is Rs.400/- per 10 sq. mtrs. and is revisable from time to time. The Technical bid cover should consist of Profile of the firm, Turn-over, Annual accounts, experience etc. The Price Bid i.e., cover II will consist of the percentage revenue share, the firm is prepared to share with the Port Trust on the gross billing at the Duty free shop.

2. Interested parties may collect the tender documents from the Office of the Traffic Manager, Cochin Port Trust during the office hours from 04-12-2003 with a written request on payment of Rs.110/- (Rupees One Hundred and Ten only) including Sales Tax & Additional Sales Tax (non-refundable) towards the cost of Tender Documents either in Cash/Demand Draft drawin in favour of F.A. & C.A.O., Cochin Port Trust encashable at Cochin.

3. The Tender forms will not be issued to defaulters. The parties will have to furnish an affidavit on Rs.100/- non-judicial paper attested by a notary public, that they have not been black-listed by any Major Port, Airport, CBI, DRI or any other department of Government of India.

4. The sealed tenders, duly subscribed with the name of the tender as indicated in the caption and addressed to the Traffic Manager, Cochin Port Trust, Willingdon Island, Cochin-9 should reach his office by 14.30 hrs. on 15-12-2003. The cover I of the tender will be opened on the same day at 15.00 hrs. in the presence of the tenderers, who are present. Cochin Port Trust reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the tenders, without assigning any reason therefor.

5. Those who are applying for tender forms through post may remit an extra sum of Rs.50/- (Rupees Fifty only) towards postage charges with a self-addressed envelop (40x10 cm).
