New Federal Bank service in Kerala

KOZHIKODE, March 30
FEDERAL Bank's Any Branch Banking service, launched in Bangalore already, will be operational in three Kerala cities by mid-April, the bank Chairman, Mr. K.P Padmakumar, said here today.
Addressing reporters after inaugurating the 406th branch of the bank, the third service branch in Kerala, Mr. Padmakumar said the millennium initiatives of the bank would stress on technology upgradation to spread Internet banking. The bank would also fo
cus on ensuring quality services and making available a variety of retail products, primarily for large non-resident Indians.
The joint customisation of Federal Bank's Internet banking and e-commerce schemes, being launched in alliance with Infosys Technologies, is in the final stages. The bank has also entered into marketing tie-ups with commercial agencies for e-commerce vent
ures. The bank plans to come out with a wide range of bank-to-bank and bank-to-customer products and a secure payment mechanism for its e-commerce partners, Mr. Padmakumar said.
He said Federal Bank would focus on offering diverse services to its 2.5 lakh-strong NRI clientele who contributed 40 per cent of total deposits.
