McDowell & Co: In high spirits
The decision to merge all the group spirit companies under McDowell & Co Ltd could give some fillip to the existing buying interest in the stock. The merger process would bring together five of the major companies within the group along with some of the
newer capacities acquired in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The merger, which would bring about a consolidation of all the high performance spirit brands in the group, could have a favourable impact on revenues, profits and market shares. The stock curren
tly ruling at Rs. 99.90 (the stock hit the upper circuit filter during the day) could witness an uptrend in the medium term.
