Pro-sight rally

Dubbed as the first all-women car rally with blind navigators, the Delhi-based Empress Club in league with the NAB had organised a rally in the Capital on May 21.
`The Drive with Insight Challenge' rally had over 50 women drivers participating in it, along with as many blind navigators as guides. For the convenience of the navigators, the route map (not disclosed to the drivers) was made available in Bra
ille.
In keeping with the club's larger social objective of serving the physically handicapped, the organisers had also set up an eye donation camp at the venue and urged all participants to pledge their eyes.
The Empress Club also donated all the registration fees collected from rally participants to the National Association for the Blind (NAB). The rally was however, restricted solely to passenger cars made by Hyundai Motor India Ltd, one of the main sponsor
