Nagreeka picks stake in student portal
NAGREEKA Exports Ltd has picked up a 10 per cent stake in the recently launched student community portal -- Buckleyourshoe.com -- for a sum of Rs. 40 lakhs.

TMG software programme on TV
TECHNOLOGY Media Group (TMG) has announced plans to produce a weekly television programme targeted at software professionals. Titled ``P Cube: Building Software Better,'' the programme would focus on software engineering and management covering ``people, process and performance'' and highlight India's capabilities and achievements in the IT sector. The programme would be aired on CNBC's IT Hour once a week.

Cyberspace roadshows for private placement
CYBERSPACE Infosys Ltd (CIL) has begun roadshows for its Rs. 140-crore private placement of shares to institutional investors. The offer price for the issue of 15 lakh shares is pegged at Rs. 930 per share, 22 per cent discount to the previous closing pr ice (on June 16) of Rs. 1,170. The issue price is slightly higher than the minimum price of Rs. 929.69 worked out as per the SEBI formula for private placements, arrangers to the issue said.

Gartner e-business meet in Mumbai
GARTNER India announced on Saturday that it has firmed up plans to bring its definitive e-business conference to the country. ``Strategy 2000: A Gartner Summit on e-Reality'' will be held in Mumbai on August 2 and 3 this year, according to a release.

Wipro, SSI gain in bullish market
THE strong undercurrent of bullish sentiment associated with key information technology stocks such as Wipro, Infosys and Digital Equipment and NIIT helped the Computer Technology Index vault by 9.7 per cent during the week. This was significant ly higher than the returns on the broadbased BL-250 Composite Index for the week. Among the industry sub-indices, the Computer Hardware and Office Equipment Index appreciated by 16.2 per cent while the Computer Software Index notched a gain of 5 .5 per cent during the week.
