Volvo owners' association

OWNERS of Volvo tractor/trailers and tippers in Kerala have formed the Volvo Vehicle Owners Association. The organisation will exchange notes on vehicle operation, maintenance and ensure maximum utility for vehicles on the road. It will soon be affiliate d with the Indian Chamber of Commerce, Kochi.

According to an Association press release, the body aims to interact with Volvo India Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, to find solutions to problems faced by vehicle owners in maintenance contracts, actual road performance vis-a-vis Volvo's pre-sale assurances, actio n, services, down times and driver training.

Mr. B. Srinivasan of Laxmi Transport Company was elected the association president, Mr. Sabu of Karithadathil Agencies secretary, and Mr. Joy Paul of N. T. Paul and Company treasurer. -- Our Bureau
