Global meet on transportation

NEW DELHI: , June 18

THE Global Transportation Forum is scheduled to be organised in mid-October this year. This was announced at the roundtable discussion on transportation organised as part of the US-India Business Council (USIBC) annual meeting which concluded recently in San Francisco.

The Joint Business Council (JBC), USIBC and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) will coordinate with the Indian Government.

The roundtable also came up with recommendations for the development of the transport sector, according to a press release.

The meeting highlighted the need to promote a comprehensive and integrated approach to the development of the transport sector and have strategic goals for enhancing mobility and accessible safety and security, environmental quality and human resource de velopment.f303- Our Bureau
