Alfa Laval: Global ownership changes

THE changes at the global level in the ownership of Alfa Laval may lead to some trading interest in the stock in the short-term.

The share price is up 10 per cent in the past fortnight. Industri Kapital, a leading European private equity firm has signed an agreement to buy Alfa Laval. It intends to develop the company into a major player in the heat transfer and fluid handling equ ipment business. The possibility of an open offer may also trigger some interest since Alfa Laval (India) may also come under the auspices of Industri Kapital.
