Leading Edge changes name to Trigyn

NEW DELHI: Leading Edge Systems Ltd said on Tuesday that it had changed its name to Trigyn Technologies following its acquisition of eCapital Solutions in a stock swap last January.

The amalgamated firm will focus on e-business, telecommunications and financial services, a company statement said, after shareholders approved the change of name.

In each of these segments, the company plans products and services. The statement also said that Trigyn Technologies plans to double its turnover in 2000-01 over the previous year.

The combined turnover of Leading Edge and eCapital Solutions in the previous fiscal stood at $$20.28 millions. ``Acquisitions and mergers will be central to our growth strategy,'' the company director, Mr. Atul Kamath, said.

In April, the firm said that it had agreed to buy US-based Applisoft Inc for $9 millions. ``The company plans to spin off separate subsidiaries for marketing and support of two of its products eVector and eCRM,'' the statement said, adding that the units will have independent managements under Trigyn's corporate control.

eVector is a mobile computing platform, while eCRM is used by vendors using the Internet. Trigyn Technologies said that its President and Chief Executive Officer will be Mr. Suresh Rajpal, who was President of the merged eCapital Solutions. -- Ou r Bureau
