Stocks
VXL, Wipro, Moser Baer among top gainers
UNLIKE the broadbased BL-250 Composite Index which appreciated by a mere 0.34 per cent, the BL Technology Index clocked a modest appreciation of 4.1 per cent last week. With the lack of institutional support and the absence of strong signals indicating i nvestment in software stocks, only a few select stocks witnessed buying interest during the week. Computer Hardware and Office Equipment Index was driven largely by a sharp rise in the price of Wipro. While the Computer Hardware and Office Equipment Inde x gained an impressive 10.1 per cent, the Computer Software Index inched up by a mere 0.2 per cent.
