Xilinx opens training centre
BANGALORE: Xilinx Inc., a supplier of programmable logic solutions, and its Asia-Pacific partner, Insight, a technology partner and distributor of specialist semiconductors, on Monday announced the opening of their first training centre in Bang alore. The customer-oriented training centre will provide a wide range of training services for design engineers throughout the country.



Jain TV begins free Net facility
JAIN Studios Ltd, promoters of the Jain TV channel, today launched free Internet services in the Capital. The service, called Freedialin.com, was inaugurated by the Union Home Minister, Mr. L.K. Advani.

Software exports up 57 pc in 1999-00 -- Nasscom bullish on industry growth
THE Indian software and services industry registered a 53 per cent growth in 1999-2000 at Rs. 24,350 crores ($5.7 billions) as against the previous year's turnover of Rs. 15,890 crores ($3.9 billions), according to the National Association of Software an d Service Companies (Nasscom).
