Mysore Cements: Cutting major businesses

The proposal of Mysore Cements to sell some of its businesses may lead to some speculative interest in the stock.

The company has indicated that is plans to sell the cement units of the company as also its power plants. Given the interest evinced in the acquisition route by major Indian as well as MNC companies, the company may get a good price for its capacities. T he extent to which this would lead to an improvement in the stock price would hinge on the manner in which cash flows are used by the company. Since this would be quite some time in the future, there may no significant near term upside in the stock price . -- BL Research Bureau
