Canon announces `freedom offer'

NEW DELHI:Canon India has unveiled a `freedom offer', which entails that on the purchase of a MultiPASS device or laser facsimile from Canon, a fully automatic camera worth Rs. 2,545 or a Sony cordless worth Rs. 2,995 will be given as away as free bies. Other freebies are in the form of consumables such as BC20 black cartridges and FX3 toner cartridges. The offer can be availed of at select cities and is on for a limited time period.

Rajvilas, Jaipur wins accolades

NEW DELHI: Rajvilas, the luxury resort of the Oberoi group in Jaipur, has won acclaim from international travel publications, Conde Nast Traveller and Gourmet. While Conde Nast Traveller has listed Rajvilas among the 25 top villa hi deaways worldwide, Gourmet has rated the hotel as the most exotic luxury resort, a press release said.

India to host Hair Asia Pacific-2000

CHENNAI:The Fourth Hair Asia Pacific-2000, an International Competition for Hair Dressers and Beauty Specialists, is to be held at Chennai, towards the end of this year. This is the first time this competition is being held in Indi a and will feature competitors from Malaysia, Philippines, South Korea, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and also leading Hair Dressers and Beauty experts from India.

Competitors will be judged under different categories and on a number of aspects such as professionalism, commercial viability and neatness. The event is being jointly organised by SIBHA (Southern India Beauty Specialists and Hair Dressers Association) a nd SLAHAB (Sri Lanka Association of Hairdressers and Beauticians). Over 300 participants will be competing under various categories in this event.

Kodak launches Picture Perfect

CHENNAI: Kodak India Limited, has recently announced the launch of Kodak Picture Perfect Programme, an effort towards renewing and promoting portrait photography. The first four studios under the initiative, were inaugurated in Delh i recently.

The programme would involve identifying and supporting high quality studios that are keen on developing portrait photography and will include picture perfect certification and training programs for technical guidance and marketing support.
