This refers to the article `Manali refinery maintenance shutdown' (Business Line June 28).
Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL)'s Manali refinery has the capacity to process 6.5 million tonnes per annum (mmtpa). Facilities which could process about 3.5 mmtpa will undergo maintenance shutdown from July 15. The maintenance work will be c
ompleted in 30 days.
However, the remaining units will be in operation, and the supply line will be maintained. CPCL's 0.5 mmtpa Cauvery Basin Refinery will be running to its full capacity.
