Louis Dreyfus drops out of race for Petronet LNG shipping deal
THE French company Louis Dreyfus, one of the top shipowners, charterers and trading houses, has dropped out of the race for the Petronet LNG shipping deal.

KPD operations come to halt following damage to lock gate
AN acute congestion of vessels is apprehended at Calcutta Dock System (CDS) of Calcutta port after the closure of operation at Kidderpore Dock (KPD), one of the twin arms of CDS, from Friday. All the berths at Netaji Subhas Dock (NSD), the other arm of C DS, are fully occupied.

Vizag port ahead of other ports in cargo traffic
THE Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VPT) is ahead of all other major ports in the country by handling 12.5 million tonnes of cargo hitherto during the current fiscal.
