Ampersand net zooms

BANGALORE: Ampersand Software Applications Ltd earned a net profit of Rs. 2.37 crores for 1999-2000, registering a rise of 283 per cent for 1999-2000. Its net profit stood at Rs. 0.61 crore during the previous year.

During the year, the company's revenue grew by 76 per cent to Rs. 25.58 crores against a revenue of Rs. 14.53 crores in 1998-99.

Announcing the results, the Chairman and Managing Director of the company, Mr. Narasimhan K. Mandyam, said the company was currently investing on developing tools and platforms that support the efforts in achieving international productivity and reliabil ity standards for Internet-based software.

The company also plans to expand its operations in the US during the current financial year by opening offices in East Coast and in the Midwest. _ Our Bureaus
