InterCope is now iCope Tech

BANGALORE: The Bangalore-based STP unit InterCope (India) Pvt Ltd has changed its name to iCope Technologies Private Ltd.

InterCope, which began as the Indian subsidiary of Hamburg-based InterCope GmBH, had retained its name even after becoming a wholly-owned Indian unit four years ago.

The company said that it was changing its name to reflect its expanding global customer base and its need to have a distinct identity.

iCope, which designs and develops software for projects and products in telecom, messaging and groupware, plans to open offices in San Jose, California, in July and in Germany in October. -- Our Bureau
