Consign launches ASP product

CHENNAI, July 10

CONSIGN Technology Private Ltd, an application service provider (ASP) promoted by the Chennai-based GanX Software Private Ltd, has launched its first ASP product -- Finvest2000.

Finvest2000 is a financial Web site building tool offering building tools, complete solution and feature affordable Web sites for the financial industry, said Mr. P. Mahavir Chand, Director (Marketing), Consign Technology.

Mr. Chand said that Finvest2000 will help users to stay away from problems of site maintenance and technology issues.

The product will suit any kind of financial service provider. With Finvest20000 a company need not bother about the usual constraints of time, money and technology to take its business online, he added.

The company plans to target Internet service providers (ISP), financial institutions, share brokers, investment consultants, content providers and publications for its product.

Mr. Chand said that Finvest has modules such as equity, non-equity investments, personal finance, Web site features, back-end management tools and financial planners.

Finvest2000 will offer content for all the above modules through its tie-up with content providers.

Consign currently sources contents from firms such as Asian Cerc for equity, Value Research for mutual funds, NSDL for depositories and ICRA for rating.

Consign's clientele includes Walletwatch.com, Indiainfo.com, Paisapower.com, Zeenext.com and 123india.com.

GanX Software, which reported a turnover of around Rs.90 lakhs for the year ended March 31, 2000, is an exclusive development partner of Manhattan Analytics Inc (MAI) -- a large Web site provider in the US (www.advisorsquare.com) having over 1,400 cl ients.
