Citibank launches Platium Card

MUMBAI, July 10

# Citibank today announced the launch of `the Citibank Platinum Card' in association with Mastercard International.

# According to a press release, the card is designed for those customers whose 'lifestyles require higher spending limits on their cards, superior levels of service and benefits.'

# The Citibank Platinum Card will be offered to leading members of the Indian corporate and business world, the release said. The Card programme will have a high credit limit and will have other benefits including a comprehensive insurance package.

# Cardholders will be entitled to free Personal Accident Insurance of Rs one crore (in case of loss of life in an air accident) and five lakhs (in case of any other accident) are among some of the insurance benefits offered.

# The Citibank Platinum Card will be valid internationally enabling card users to use the card at 16 million establishments.

# According to Mr Nanoo Pamnani, CEO and Global Consumer Bank Head, Citibank, " With the emergence of a truly global Indian, we feel that this is the most opportune time for introduction of the Platinum Card programme".
