Miscellaneous
VCs may breathe easy under SEBI control
OVER the last eight to ten months, the action on the policy front has centered substantially on foreign direct investments (FDIs). Besides raising the ceiling on FDI in several sectors, the Government is also moving towards the automat ic approval route.

Mutual Funds
Results may drive tech funds
THIS week, technology funds are expected to figure among the most happening ones, thanks to the impressive financial performance that some leading information technology companies such as Infosys and Satyam have recorded. Presumably, IT stocks woul d ride the back of these quarterly results.

Stocks
Interest may shift to FMCG scrips
STOCK markets are expected to remain range-bound in the coming week. A run-away rally in prices looks a remote possibility. Market players peg the Sensex movement between 4,700 and 5,100 points.
