Sampre Nutritions bags IA order

HYDERABAD: Sampre Nutritions Ltd, manufacturer of confectionery products, has bagged an order from Indian Airlines Ltd for the supply of 18.5 tonnes of candies and toffees per month. The order is worth Rs. 2.2 crores per year.

The company's Chairman and Managing Director, Mr. B. K. Gurbani, told newspersons on Saturday that talks were also on with Air India and Jet Airways for entering into similar contracts.

Earlier, the company has entered into a five-year contract with Joyco India Ltd for the manufacture of latter's Aqtimint and Donald Orange candy. The company expects a turnover of over Rs. 8 crores from this contract in the current fiscal.

With these two contracts on hand, Mr. Gurbani said, the company was expecting to post a turnover of about Rs. 15 crores this year as against a turnover of Rs. 3.8 crores achieved last fiscal. In the first quarter of the current fiscal, the company's tur nover stood at Rs. 1.91 crores.-- Our Bureau
